Series on the Line in Cedar Rapids

Tonight at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, the Cougars wrap up a three-game series against the Kernels. The road trip will continue in Appleton, Wisconsin tomorrow night when the Cougars travel to play the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

After winning eight of their last nine, the Cougars let one slip away in the bottom of the ninth as Chevy Clarke hit a game-tying homer off Nick Graffeo. Andy Workman connected with the walk-off blast in the 10th inning.

Right-hander Edwin Carl (3-2, 1.87) is starting tonight against fellow righty Cam Bedrosian (0-2, 4.86). If Bedrosian sounds familiar, that’s because his father, Steve, won the 1987 NL Cy Young Award with Atlanta.

Here’s the lineup from skipper Brian Buchanan:

Justin Trapp 2B
Danny Mateo DH
Jorge Bonifacio RF
Lane Adams CF
Michael Antonio 3B
Orlando Calixte SS
Murray Watts 1B
Jin-Ho Shin C
Tim Ferguson LF
RHP Edwin Carl
