Beautiful Day at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark

It’s the rubber game of a three-game series this afternoon between the Cougars and Fort Wayne TinCaps from Fifth Third Bank Ballpark in Geneva. It’s Organ & Tissue Donor Awareness Day at the ballpark while dozens of fans are on the field right now getting autographs from all their favorite Cougar players.

Right-hander Jason Mitchell makes his second start of the season today for the Cougars. Last time out, Mitchell worked out of the bullpen and earned the save behind Scott Alexander when the Cougars were in Beloit.

Here’s today’s lineup from manager Brian Buchanan:

Justin Trapp 2B
Orlando Calixte SS
Michael Antonio 3B
Jorge Bonifacio RF
Lane Adams DH
Henry Moreno 1B
Tim Ferguson CF
Edul Escobar C
Runey Davis LF
RHP Jason Mitchell

Plenty of Kansas City Royals executives and rovers are in town including Special Assistant to the GM John Boles, Outfield & Baserunning coordinator Rusty Kuntz, field coordinator Tony Tijerina and infield coordinator Jack Maloof.
